$30,000 Coming to Union County Organization to Support Veterans in Need, Say Flick, Rowe

March 30, 2026

HARRISBURG – Reps. Jamie Flick (R-Union/Lycoming) and David H. Rowe (R-Snyder/Union/Mifflin/Juniata) today announced $30,000 is coming to a Union County-based agency to help provide emergency assistance to veterans and their families.

Union-Snyder Community Action Agency will receive the funding to provide direct, immediate support to veterans in need.

“I’m happy to see these funds going directly toward supporting the veterans who have sacrificed so much for our communities,” Flick said. “These brave men and women deserve timely help when they face difficulties. Union Snyder Community Action Agency has a long history of stepping up for local families, and this funding will strengthen its ability to support veterans when they need it most.”

“This crucial funding from the Veterans’ Trust Fund will support the mission of the Union-Snyder Community Action Agency and ensure our servicemen and women receive the respect, support, and services worthy of their sacrifice," said Rowe. "I am happy to see these donations invested in our county."

Union-Synder Community Action Agency was able to be granted funding through donations from Pennsylvanians across the Commonwealth. The money comes from the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) Veterans’ Trust Fund (VTF), which is supported entirely by voluntary donations. These contributions are made through online giving, and donations made during driver’s license applications or renewals, photo ID, or motor vehicle registration. The VTF also receives proceeds from the sale of the?Honoring Our Veterans and Honoring Our Women Veterans?license plates, as well as private donations.
