Flick's Fourth Human Services Expo Set for April 23

April 2, 2026

WILLIAMSPORT – Rep. Jamie Flick (R-Lycoming/Union) today announced his fourth annual Human Services Expo, held in coordination with his Speaker Series, will take place on Thursday, April 23, from 3-6 p.m. at the Field House at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

The event, which will feature more than 70 agencies, nonprofits, businesses and other valuable resources, is free and open to the public.

“I really enjoy hosting this community-focused event,” Flick said. “It gives everyone a convenient opportunity to connect with organizations and programs offering critical health and human services in the area.”

Visitors to the expo will find useful information and connections to services for aging, autism, behavioral health, career development, children and adolescents, diverse abilities (physical and intellectual), early intervention, housing and transportation, independent living, medical assistance, mental health, substance abuse, veterans’ services and more.

Many new agencies will be participating at the expo this year, including the Williamsport Police Department; Technology for our Whole Lives (TechOWL), PPL Electric Utilities’ Wrap Program; The Wealth Factory and other financial and advanced planning agencies; Dad's Resource Center and resources on custody, and United Churches of Lycoming County.

Students from Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Physician Assistant Program will offer complimentary blood pressure screenings and students and faculty from the Information Technology Program will be on hand to talk about cybersecurity, scams and other issues.

“As a member of the House Human Services Committee, I hear all the time about how difficult it is for families to find the services they need,” Flick said. “No one wants to struggle to locate support when they need it most, and this expo helps ease that burden by bringing them all under one roof.”

Right before the Human Services Expo, Flick’s Speaker Series will take place at Penn’s Inn at Pennsylvania College of Technology campus from 1-3 p.m. The topic of this year’s series is Opioid Addiction: Loss, Recovery and Hope, and will feature personal stories surrounding addiction, information from the leadership of the House Human Services Committee and an update on the progress being made using funds from the Opioid Trust.

“April 23 will really shine a light on the services available to those who need them most,” Flick said. “Both of these events are things people come up to me about, saying how much they look forward to them each year.”
